Module Leader: Kate Gadsby
The module aims to develop the knowledge and expertise of health practitioners in the management of patients with rheumatological conditions.
The module will consider the pathophysiology of rheumatoid disease and explore the evidence base for pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for symptom relief and disease control.
It will explore the psychosocial implication this group of diseases has on the patient and their family and critically appraise the contributions that can be made by multidisciplinary team management.
