Reporting adverse events

Adverse events are defined as any clinical or physical change or disease experienced at any time during a treatment course, and are not necessarily related to the use of the drug(s) being researched.

The BSRBR team in Manchester also request that you record Events of Special Interest.

Please report all occurrences of adverse events on BSRBR-registered patients to BSRBR’s offices at the Arthritis Research UK Epidemiology Unit in Manchester.

Please provide all available data for each adverse event to assist BSRBR's pharmacovigilance effort. This information is vital in assessing the safety of these treatments both in the short term and over the life of the register.

If you notify the MHRA of a suspected adverse drug reaction, or a suspected defect in a product through the yellow card scheme, please also send this information to BSRBR.
