Delegate code of conduct

We want the conference to be a positive and productive experience for everyone attending. By registering to attend Rheumatology 2010 all delegates are agreeing to abide by a code of conduct. Any delegates in breach of this code of conduct may be asked to leave the conference venue. No refund will be due if this should occur. Please note:

  • The BSR cannot guarantee capacity in any particular session. Although we will do our best to avoid disappointment, there may be occasions when a room is full. Legally we are not allowed to let you into a room in this circumstance and we ask that you understand and respect conference and venue staff should they be unable to allow you access to a session. We will provide a presentation relay room as an overflow should a session become full.
  • For security reasons, and to allow access to conference areas, conference passes must been worn, in plain sight, at all times. If your badge is lost, immediately report to the registration desk for a replacement.
  • Delegates are responsible for all their property. Neither the BSR nor the venue accepts liability for loss or damage of personal items.
  • Bags and packages must be in your possession at all times. The safety and security of delegates is paramount and unattended items may cause security alerts.

Badge scanning

Conference staff will be on hand to scan your badge for CPD purposes. To ensure that your attendance at the conference is recorded for CPD purposes, please make sure that your badge is scanned at least once per day. There will be CPD scanning points clearly marked around the conference venue. We will not be able to confirm your attendance to the RCP/RCN if your badge has not been scanned each day.
Please note that if you allow your badge to be scanned by any of our exhibitors, in doing so you are providing them with your contact information including telephone number and email address. See below for a full Data Protection statement.
