Allied Health Professional Bursaries

  Aimed at health professionals working in the field of rheumatology, the Allied Health Professional bursaries entitle successful applicants to complimentary attendance at Rheumatology 2011 on 12-14 April in Brighton.

The 2011 programme will guarantee to contain its usual outstanding mix of concurrent scientific sessions, original oral and poster discussion sessions, along with the ever-popular plenary speakers. There are five bursaries available to allied health professionals who meet the selection criteria.

The award package consists of:

  • Complimentary registration to Rheumatology 2011
  • Two nights’ bed and breakfast
  • Economy class travel expenses

Please note that any additional expenses are not included in the bursary.

Bursary winners will be selected by the BSR Executive Committee and will be notified by email in January 2011.

Submission deadline

All applications must be received at the BSR offices by 22 November 2010.

Rules and eligibility

The applicant must be a member of the British Health Professionals in Rheumatology (BHPR) and have:

  • at least three year’s post-registration work experience and a minimum of one year’s experience in rheumatology
  • a commitment to the future of the rheumatology profession
  • support from their department

Winners of the prize are requested to submit a 300 word report on their experience at Rheumatology 2011 which will be used in future BSR/BHPR literature and as a useful feedback for future planning of the meetings.
