Anthony Nolan Trust - Cord Blood Survey
Let us know!
The Anthony Nolan Trust is establishing the UK’s first integral national Cord Blood Bank Programme based on cord donation at delivery for clinical transplantation and research needs. This is complementary to our Bone Marrow Register, providing a unique transplantation and national research resource and ensuring that we are able to offer a source of stem cells to as many patients in need as possible.
The Anthony Nolan Trust is a UK registered charity. We operate and manage one of the largest Bone Marrow Donor registers in the world and the most successful in the UK. The charity recruits adult volunteers prepared to donate their bone marrow and the register currently contains about 400,000 people.
As part of our Cord Blood Programme we wish to collect cord blood for our own research and make it available to other researchers. Therefore we have prepared a survey that will help us both establish a mutually beneficial relationship between the Anthony Nolan Trust and the UK Stem Cell Research community and assess its short and longer term need for cord blood for research and related quality and cost issues.
