Predicting outcome and therapeutic response in RA using diseased tissue-driven biomarkers: dream or possible reality?

Target audience:

Rheumatologists, General Physicians, GPs, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals

Aims and objectives

This one day meeting will be a dynamic updating of what we know about the different biologic approaches to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It is clear that rheumatoid arthritis is not a single, simple uniformed entity and equally clear that no single biologic agent is going to be effective in all patients. The rapidly expanding numbers of approaches however provides the multidisciplinary team with some exciting possibilities including the likelihood that biologics willl be used in sequence or in tandem.

This course aims to provides delegates with a realistic assessment of how likely it is that the biologic (or group of biologics) are going to be widely used and how they might be co-prescribed with other drugs including conventional immunosuppressives and other biologic agents.
