BSR response to report from the Public Accounts Committee into Services for People with RA

Dr Chris Deighton, Chair of the BSR Clinical Affairs Committee said

“We welcome the report from the Public Accounts Committee into the recent National Audit Office report on services for people with rheumatoid Arthritis. The report makes essential recommendations on early identification and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, which we believe must be implemented for the good of our patients. We join with others in the musculoskeletal community in calling for a National Clinical Director for Musculoskeletal Conditions. We believe this will enable us to work together in a more directed and co-ordinated fashion to develop the services that our patients deserve.”
