NICE appraisal for adalimumab, etanercept and infliximab for RA after failure of a previous anti-TNF

We welcome the decision of the NICE appeal committee to recommend that the issue of sequential use be restarted as a full new appraisal, and look we forward to working with NICE to determine the most appropriate management of patients whose first anti-TNF does not work satisfactorily. We also welcome the recommendation of the Appeal committee that this should be done as soon as possible, as patients and clinicians have waited a considerable period of time for this important issue to be resolved.
