Royal College of General Practitioners
The academic organisation in the UK for general practitioners. Its aim is to encourage and maintain the highest standards of general medical practice and act as the ‘voice’ of general practitioners on education, training and standards issues.

Royal College of Nursing
The RCN represents nurses and nursing, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies.

Royal College of Physicians
Aims to ensure high quality care for patients by improving standards and influencing policy and practice in modern medicine. It sets standards for clinical practice, conducts examinations, defines and monitors education and training programmes for physicians, supports doctors in their practice of medicine, and advises the Government, public and the profession on healthcare issues.

Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
One of the foremost international providers of medical education and information. Its principal concern is to develop and oversee an ongoing programme of medical examinations, education and training for qualified doctors who wish to undertake further (postgraduate) education and training to pursue a career in specialist (internal) medicine.

Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow

Enjoys a unique and privileged position among its sister colleges in the UK in that both physicians and surgeons (including dentists) make up its Membership and Fellowship. The RCPSG has an extensive education programme, organising lectures, seminars, conferences and workshops.

The mission of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is to develop and maintain high professional standards in specialist medical practice in order to achieve optimum patient care and to promote health nationally and internationally.

An independent, apolitical organisation, whose aims are to provide a broad range of educational activities and opportunities, and to promote an exchange of information and ideas on the science, practice and organisation of medicine.
