About BSR * Committees, SIGs and Regions

Committees

The Trustees have established a number of committees and working groups to deliver a programme of activities and services designed to help achieve the society's aims and objectives. Committees are made up of members and co-opted representatives from other organisations and professional bodies. Together they work with the secretariat to deliver the three year strategic plan.

Special Interest Groups

These groups are a valuable resource to our members, giving a unique and unparalleled insight into their specialisms. Each group is run individually by convenors who manage and organise meetings, information and proposals on behalf of the groups. These groups also submit session proposals to help shape the content of the Annual Conference.

Regions

Regional Chairs were appointed to provide support for our members within defined geographical areas. They work closely with nurse, allied health professionals and paediatric representatives in their region for multidisciplinary input. Regional Chairs feedback member concerns and ensure best practice is recognised and raised at Council meetings to support delivery of the society's strategic plan.
