The Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology Conference has just wrapped up after a hugely successful three days in Birmingham.

Delegates were really impressed with the research day and really enjoyed the opportunity to understand where the future of research in this field is going and to cut their teeth in presenting their abstracts in a more informal and friendly setting. During the main conference we ran two parallel streams for the first time with a dedicated stream for AHPs.

Feedback from these sessions has been excellent, with delegates encouraged by the fact that the conference looks at their particular interest and what they want to hear. Congratulations to Dr Eslam Al-Abadi, our conference convenor, and the whole of the Birmingham Paediatric and Adolescent team on a successful programme.

Awards were presented to Sunil Sampath for 'Best Oral Presentation' at Monday's Research Day and to Sean Donohue who closed out the conference by winning 'Best Poster Abstract'. A great achievement.

Delegates enjoyed many networking opportunities at the conference dinner and during breaks, and not only was the exhibition very busy but our social media channels were buzzing, with #BSPAR19 generating almost two million impressions on Twitter!

Looking forward to #BSPAR20 taking place in Bristol next year? Keep an eye out for more blog interviews from the conference coming soon.
