We've just launched the final State of Play report, focusing on Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology, which found that paediatric and adolescent rheumatology is under-resourced and has significant variations in care and MDT provision across the UK.
Our recommendations were based on a survey of 105 paediatric rheumatology health professionals and 212 children, young people and parents.
Dr Kathy Bailey, Vice-President and Chair of the BSPAR Section Council, said of the report: "All children and young people across the UK deserve to access the same excellent standard of care, to be treated with the most effective medications and be supported by a complete, caring and experienced multiprofessional team.
"This report will highlight where we are getting it right, where we need to do better and suggestions for what needs to be done for the future. The views of professionals working in these services and the patients and families receiving the care have informed this report and will be a powerful call to action to give direction and make change happen."
