Update: After careful monitoring of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our annual conference. Read more here.
As our 2020 programme for Annual Conference has been announced, we've caught up with the society's President, Dr Elizabeth Price, to find out which sessions she is looking forward to most.
"The Heberden Round and Oration showcase colleagues at the height of their profession and always teach us something new. This year Karen Walker-Bone is delivering the Heberden Round, focusing on her special interests of work and occupational medicine, and Cos Pitzalis is delivering the Oration and I am sure will inspire us with his insights into stratified medicine.
Those of us who get asked to see ward referrals should join me to listen to the experts talking about fever and rheumatology and discussing the differential diagnosis between infection and inflammation and optimum management of these challenging patients.
Finally, given the current high state of alert over COVID-19 you might want to come along to the session on Immunosuppression and Infection on Tuesday morning!"
With over 80 sessions across the 3 day programme, there's something of interest for everyone in the whole MDT. Check our 2020 programme for full details.
