BSR Council

The policy making body of BSR, and its role is to ratify the policies of the society.

Executive Committee

The governing body of BSR. The Officers who form it make up the trustees and the directors of the society.

Its role is to:

  • uphold the fiduciary duty
  • ensure compliance with legal and regulatory framework
  • determine overall direction and development of the society

Clinical Affairs Committee

Responsible for encouraging and facilitating the establishment, maintenance and improvement of good clinical practice in all aspects of rheumatology, and the provision of high quality services for persons living with rheumatic diseases.

Education and Training Committee

Responsible for promoting and facilitating good practice in all aspects of education, training and professional development for those within the sector, and for organising a programme of high quality education courses.

Responsible for advancing knowledge and practice in the field of rheumatology through an annual scientific programme and the dissemination of research.

Responsible for identifying further opportunities for BSR to develop valuable external relationships, which will raise the profile of the society’s work and further its aims and objectives.
