Our Leadership

Overview

Our leadership team brings together the expertise and experience of both our Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team, who work together to guide the strategic direction of BSR.

Our Board of Trustees, who are also our company directors, are responsible for governance and ensuring we meet our legal and financial responsibilities as a registered charity. Alongside them, our Senior Management Team leads the day to day delivery of our work, supporting members, education, conferences, journals, policy and wider organisational priorities.

Together, they help shape our future, manage resources responsibly and ensure we continue delivering for the rheumatology community.

Senior management team

Sarah Campbell, Chief Executive I oversee strategy implementation and activities supporting members, ensure BSR meets its legal and statutory responsibilities and am key point of contact between the Board of Trustees and staff

Jessica Badley, Chief Operating Officer I lead on our people and culture strategy, as well as our membership, finance, governance, and operations programmes

Neil Walsh, Director of Marcomms, Events, Education & Membership I lead on our education and events programme as well our membership, marketing, communication and digital strategies.

Ella Jackson, Director of Practice & Quality I provide strategic leadership to help advance rheumatology practice and patient quality care. This includes journals, guidelines, research, and external affairs.
