Core Skills in Rheumatology offers essential curriculum-based education for all professional groups, taught through interactive lectures and group discussions

Audience: consultants, trainees, allied health professionals and nurses
Core Skills is aimed at the whole multi-disciplinary team. With talk streams for consultants and trainees, and health professionals and nurses, the course offers education for all team members.
As well as the parallel streams, there are core interactive lectures, dedicated pre-eLearning and discussion sessions, giving a chance to update your knowledge and exchange best practice with peers through networking forums.

Using and understanding immunological tests in the rheumatology clinic
The hot swollen joint
GCA and other vasculitides
Topics for health professionals and nurses include:
Working with fatigue: patient activation
Non-pharmacological management of symptoms
Motivational interviewing, what is it and how to harness it
