We’re looking for consultant members to join our new panel where you’ll work closely with the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) to review job descriptions and job roles for consultant, honorary consultant, and specialty doctor posts in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

As a Regional Specialty Advisor (RSA) you will:

  • provide advice;
  • support local areas where a consultant is not available to review;
  • liaise with the MDT Advisory Council in your local area/nation regularly.

RSAs are also invited to become fellowship grading panel members; this involves reviewing, assessing, and grading nominations for fellowship, adhering to guidelines and criteria set out by the Royal College of Physicians.

We require RSAs in the following regions: East Midlands (North), Kent, Surrey and Sussex, Oxford, Severn, Wessex

Important information:

  • Eligibility: Full-time/part-time consultant physicians with at least 1-2 years' consultant experience
  • Time commitment: up to one day per month

To apply, please send an up-to-date CV expressing your interest to: membership@rheumatology.org.uk.

If you are interested, but you do not live in any of the above regions, please do let us know as there still might be an opportunity to get involved.
