A new issue of Rheumatology has been published, seeking to address the knowledge gap in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Commenting on the importance of the topic, Guest Editor Prof Ian N Bruce (University of Manchester, UK) noted that, "Narrowing the health inequalities gap for SLE patients needs to be prioritized.”

The issue sees authors from across the globe discussing topics including knowledge gaps in epidemiology, the impact of genetics on susceptibility and severity, key social determinants of health, balancing disease control with immunosuppression and infection risk, access to therapies, and more.

This is a must-read for anyone passionate about the fight against SLE.
