Rheumatology remains in the top quartile for rheumatology journals globally. With the latest Impact Factor, Rheumatology Advances in Practice has now reached the top half of the rankings.
Ernest Choy, Editor-in-Chief of Rheumatology, remarked that “The vision of Rheumatology is to advance research and science to make a sustained impact on the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. The Impact Factor and CiteScore demonstrate the commitment of the journal as well as the dedication, hard work and expertise of the Co-Editors, Associate Editors, Editorial Board members, editorial team, reviewers and authors.”
“I am delighted to see Rheumatology Advances in Practice
achieve an Impact Factor of 2.8 and move into top half of journals for the first time,” noted Mwidimi Ndosi, Editor-in-Chief of Rheumatology Advances in Practice.
“This is a testament to the vision and efforts of those who have contributed to the journal over many years, particularly my predecessor Ai Lyn Tan and the editorial teams, together with the dedication of our Associate Editors, Editorial Board members, reviewers, authors, and the outstanding publishing teams at BSR and Oxford University Press.”
Journal metrics provide a snapshot of a journal’s performance in recent years. Whilst the calculation is complex, in essence this years’ metrics cover citations in 2025 to content published in the prior two (Impact Factor) or three (CiteScore) years.
We reiterate Mwidimi’s and Ernest’s thanks for the continued efforts of the Co-Editors Associate Editors, Editorial Board members, reviewers and authors of both our journals.
