Overview

The BSR registers are a rich source of evidence for clinicians and researchers; find papers using registers data here.

BSR's registers are among the most influential real-world data resources in rheumatology. They underpin vital advances in clinical practice, shaping how conditions are understood, diagnosed and treated across the UK and beyond.

Thanks to the dedication of individuals and teams who have recruited and followed patients over many years, these registers have generated a powerful evidence base that informs guidelines, supports policy decisions, and improves patient outcomes.

To date, hundreds of peer-reviewed papers have been published across multiple journals using data from the society registers.

You can explore and download these publications using the links below. This collection continues to grow as new research is published.

Guidance notes

  • Three registers' outputs are included in the sheet – RA, AS and JIA, by default shown by year of publication
  • Filter all cancer-related papers or all infection-related papers by selecting the filter arrows
  • We make registers data available to third party researchers who are not part of the core Manchester and Aberdeen teams (who do most analyses and operate the registers on behalf of the society). Filter by third party outputs and discover what questions they have answered
Inspired to make your own third party data access request?
