Congratulations to the eight teams shortlisted for our Best Practice Awards 2020. The successful applicants are:

  • Kellgren Centre for Rheumatology, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust – Quality improvement to halve non-adherence to methotrexate

  • Northern Devon Healthcare Trust – Introduction of virtual clinics and integration with patient portal outcomes

  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust – How the use of digital technology and a specialist pharmacist can improve medicines optimisation and enhance the quality of patient care

  • University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust – Developing Osteoporosis Services with Bristolians

  • Central Lancashire Moving Well Rheumatology Service, Minerva Health Centre – Shared decision making: leading the cultural change

  • North Bristol NHS Trust – The Living Well Pathway

  • Princess of Wales, Bridgend – Rheumatology referral prioritisation project: the right care, in the right place and at the right time

  • Alder Hey NHS Foundation Trust (pictured) – Development and implementation of a rheumatology pain multidisciplinary clinic

We're excited to be visiting shortlisted teams in January, giving them the opportunity to present their projects before the final round of judging.

The winners will be announced at the 2020 Annual Conference in Glasgow.
