Our strategic aims:

We will educate by providing educational and knowledge, sharing opportunities to support delivery of the best outcomes through:

  • Disseminating advances in the science and practice of rheumatology

  • Providing professional development opportunities for our members to support the delivery of their multidisciplinary team roles

  • Increasing our knowledge about new and existing treatments, and promote the integration of clinical care, data and research

We will influence health policy and empower our members to achieve positive outcomes through:

  • Creating the national guidelines and standards that underpin the delivery of rheumatic and musculoskeletal disease care by our members in the UK

  • Influencing health policy and commissioning, which informs the delivery of excellent health and social care

  • Empowering members with evidence of the impact and value of rheumatology care 

We will future-proof, grow and thrive as a sustainable organisation through:

  • Managing the society’s assets in such a way so as to ensure we are a viable and sustainable charity for the benefit of members
