Submit abstract
Overview
The BSR/ASME Joint Education Award is given to the best educational research abstract submitted to Annual Conference.
Abstract submission is now open and closes on 13 October 2021.
Background
This is a joint award with the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME), aiming to raise the profile of educational research activity within the society and highlight educational research activity happening within rheumatology.
Prize
The winner receives:
Certificate of achievement
£100
Opportunity to present their research at Annual Conference as a poster or oral presentation
Opportunity to present their research at the ASME Annual Scholarship Meeting as a poster or oral presentation
Entry criteria
Who can apply?
You must be:
A nurse or health professional (anyone registered on the HCPC register or GPhC register)
A BSR member or ASME member
NB: if you have won an award in the last five years, you will not be eligible to enter this award again until the five-year period has passed
How to apply
You are required to submit:
An Annual Conference abstract through the abstract submission site, under the topic of education
Judging criteria
Submissions will be reviewed based on:
Quality of written content
Innovation and contribution to improving education in rheumatology
Your demonstrable success or implementation of research
Previous winner
Diana Finney, Consultant Rheumatology Nurse at Sussex MSK Partnership. Diana won this award for her abstract 'National Competency Framework for Rheumatology Nurse Specialists'. This project was led alongside the RCN Rheumatology Nurse Forum.
