This member-only training programme sets the standard for ultrasound training in the UK.

If you're a member with an interest in ultrasound training, this two-day practical course is for you.

Delivered by convenors Dr Anna Ciechomska and Mhairi Brandon, Ultrasound for Rheumatology Practice is designed to help you develop the ability to scan peripheral joints, provide a comprehensive review of regional musculoskeletal through ultrasound, develop your clinical and technical ultrasound knowledge.

Taught in small groups with plenty of opportunity to gain hands-on experience, each module will include standard machine-craft core knowledge and will be supported by online learning before and after the face-to-face course.

This blended learning programme aims to support you in your lifelong learning. The modules are:

  • Ultrasound in inflammatory arthritis (hands and feet)

  • An introduction to the use of ultrasound in hot swollen joint

This course is suitable for delegates with both basic and intermediate scanning experience.

Bursary

A little short on funding? Don’t panic – a bursary to cover 50% of the course cost, worth £357, is now available to all attendees.

  • Who can apply for the bursary? All delegates, but you have to book onto the course first to be considered

  • Are there a limited number of bursaries available? No, bursaries will be available to all attendees

  • How do I apply? Complete the online application form

  • When will I receive the bursary? Bursaries will be granted six weeks after course completion
