Overview

Date: 24-25 September 2019

Venue: Clayton Hotel, Belfast, BT2 8HS

CPD: 12

This training programme designed for members and delivered by our experts sets the standard for ultrasound training in the UK. Two modules provide comprehensive learning opportunities for all professionals working in rheumatology practice. Each module includes introductory and advanced levels.

The two modules are:

  • Inflammatory Arthritis, 24 September

  • Giant Cell Arteritis, 25 September

Delegates are able to attend both or either of the days of face-to-face teaching. Taught in small groups with plenty of opportunity to gain hands-on experience, each module will include standard machine-craft core knowledge and will be supported by online learning before and after the face-to-face course.

This blended learning programme aims to support you in your lifelong learning.

Objectives

  • How to identify the normal vascular sono-anatomy of temporal and axillary arteries

  • How to perform a systematic ultrasound scanning of the temporal and axillary arteries

  • Identify the basic vascular and pathological sonographic findings in GCA, LVV and pitfalls
