Join this expert-led webinar on hypophosphatasia (HPP), designed to help rheumatology professionals better understand this rare condition and its relevance in clinical practice. The session will provide an introduction to HPP, including its underlying causes, how it may present across different patient populations, and the clinical burden associated with delayed or missed diagnosis. It will also explore the signs, symptoms and clinical features that should prompt consideration of HPP, alongside practical examples to help the MDT identify patients who may require further investigation. In addition, the webinar will cover appropriate investigation and diagnostic pathways, as well as when and how to refer patients to specialist centres for ongoing assessment and management.

Learning objectives:
— Understand the underlying causes of hypophosphatasia and how it may present across different patient groups.
— Recognise the clinical burden of HPP, including the consequences of delayed or missed diagnosis.
— Identify the signs, symptoms and clinical features that should prompt consideration of HPP in practice.
— Apply practical approaches to identifying patients who may warrant further investigation.
— Understand appropriate investigation and diagnostic pathways for suspected HPP.
— Know when referral to specialist care is appropriate and understand the role of specialist services in ongoing management.
