This webinar delivers a curriculum-based update on infection and arthritis, including insight on clinical presentations, guidance on management, and challenges.

The topic is designed for trainees but the entire multidisciplinary team is welcome to attend.

Learning objectives:

  • Gain insight on the clinical presentations and diagnostic approaches of chronic infectious arthritides including mycobacterial arthritis, Lyme disease, viral arthritis (parvovirus, hepatitis and HIV-associated arthritis) and others
  • Improve knowledge on presentation, updated guidance on management and assessing long term outcome in septic arthritis
  • Develop an understanding of the management strategies of these conditions and the challenges faced when treating inflammatory arthritis symptoms in the context of the infective disease
