Can your hospital offer something special to our members? We are looking for a unit of excellence to host our annual Headstart Fellowship. This fellowship offers those in the early stages of their career the chance to increase their knowledge and skills across a range of conditions, providing the opportunity for concentrated hands-on experience and interactive small group tutorials.

Our fellowships usually run on a 3-5 day programme (depending if there is one or two hosts). Five successful applicants will be awarded to attend the Headstart Fellowship.

We would like to propose running this fellowship on any of the following dates. If you are interested in applying but these dates do not suit your unit, please do contact us and we would be happy to discuss this with you.

  • w/c 4 November
  • w/c 11 November
  • w/c 2 December

New for 2019, for hosting this fellowship you will receive:

  • £500 honorarium for your unit as an appreciation of your time and efforts
  • 1 year's free membership and for a member of your team
  • Feedback from the fellows via our post-fellowship survey

We spoke to Professor Caroline Gordon who recently hosted the Lupus fellowship and she said: "I was able to be a part of some very interesting discussions. As an organiser, I sat in on some of the sessions. It was very interesting to learn where people came from, what it was like in their hospital, and the implementation of their service. It was definitely a two-way flow of knowledge".
