The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) has announced the results of the 2019 round.
Four member consultant rheumatologists received a bronze, silver or gold award in medicine, with one member receiving an award in paediatrics; three were granted a renewal of an existing award. Congratulations to all concerned! These awards are a public acknowledgement of their professional expertise and continued dedication to the NHS.
The scheme operates in England and Wales, and rewards NHS consultants and academic GPs who deliver above and beyond the standard expected of their roles. The society is a nominating body, and we provide official support to members wanting to apply for an award.
The 2020 round has recently been announced by ACCEA and information on how to apply for support from the society will be available soon.
