You can watch all sessions via the virtual conference platform, and access will be available from Tuesday 14 April so you can start bookmarking sessions and build your own conference schedule.

Tuesday 21 April

How to make the csDMARDs guideline work in practice - a practical guide to implementation, 12:30 - 12:45

This session will give a detailed review of what’s new in the 2025 csDMARD guideline, focussing on new recommendations around infection screening; methotrexate and liver disease; and blood monitoring, and offer advice on how individuals and teams can ensure these recommendations are put into practice.


Writing to Patients: evidenced-based tips, 12.30 - 12:50

Attendees will hear about the evidence-base and potential benefit of writing clinic letters to patients, followed by a ‘how to’ session to enable attendees to put this in practice. The session will include an overview of the key tips for health care professionals within the resources.

Wednesday 22 April

BSR Registers - Purpose, People and Publications, 12:30 – 13:00

This session will introduce delegates to the BSR Registers, their purpose, scale, and real-world impact. It will provide an overview of the four registers, the expert teams who manage them, and the publications they produce and will demonstrate how these registers generate robust evidence that informs clinical practice.

Improving Clinical, Work and Mental Health Outcomes in Early Inflammatory Arthritis: Insights from NEIAA, 12:50 - 13:30

This session will highlight key findings from analyses of the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit (NEIAA) over the past year and will explore factors influencing remission rates in rheumatoid arthritis and discuss how these insights can be used to drive better clinical outcomes.

How to submit sessions for Annual Conference, 12:30 - 12:35

Do you want to submit a session idea for BSR27, but aren’t sure where to start? In this session we’ll cover how the process works, what the conference organising committee is looking for, and how to improve your chances of having your session picked for the conference programme. This session is aimed at Nurse and AHP groups, however anyone is welcome to join the session to find out more on the submission process.


Understanding and Identifying Flares in Axial Spondyloarthritis (BSR Advanced Research Funding Call Project), 12:35 - 12:50

This session by Dr James Prior provides an overview of the FASTER (Flares in Axial Spondyloarthritis – Treating with Effective Resources) feasibility study. Learn about the clinical challenge of identifying flares in axial spondyloarthritis within patient-initiated follow-up models, and how to better capture flare activity and patient experience.


Lunch and learn sessions

If you’re attending BSR26 online, make sure you join us for our interactive lunch and learn sessions. These exclusive online workshops include case studies and practical examples to help delegates put learnings into practice.

Understanding epidemiological studies, Tuesday 28 April, 13:00 – 13:30

This session will provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of three fundamental epidemiological studies: cross-sectional, retrospective and cohort, and will cover the standout methodological differences for each type.

Publication ethics in medical academic publishing, Wednesday 29 April, 13:00 – 13:30

This session will equip medical researchers, particularly early-career professionals, with a thorough understanding of ethical principles in academic publishing. Delegates will gain a clearer understanding of how to publish responsibly, communicate transparently and maintain research integrity in their academic careers.
