We are pleased to announce that both Rheumatology and Rheumatology Advances in Practice are expanding their Associate Editor teams.
Rheumatology is looking for Associate Editors with expertise in:
- Paediatric rheumatology
- Myositis
- Sjögren’s syndrome
- Psoriatic arthritis
- Basic science
- Genetics
Rheumatology Advances in Practice is looking for Associate Editors with expertise in:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Osteoarthritis
- Gout/crystal arthropathies
- Systemic sclerosis (preferably with interstitial lung disease expertise)
- Vasculitis
Associate Editors are central to the Journal’s continued development, and hold the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the Editor-in-Chief throughout the peer review process
- Helping to ensure the acceptance of high-quality articles
- Inviting appropriate peer reviewers
- Making recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief
- Participating in Associate Editor and Editorial Board meetings to help set strategic objectives for the Journal

Your cover letter should detail your history as a peer reviewer, as well as any relevant editorial experience.
Applicants should regularly review and publish in their chosen subject area. Previous Editorial Board experience is preferred but not essential. The term of appointment is three years and may be extended by mutual agreement for an agreed amount of time.
