The Quality Review Scheme (QRS) for rheumatology is an accreditation programme aimed at raising standards of patient care across the UK. We’re delighted to confirm that all pilot sites which committed to trial the accreditation process and undertake site assessment and an online review have been awarded accreditation.

The three accredited sites are:

  • Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust
  • Leighton Hospital Rheumatology Service
  • Glasgow Royal Infirmary Rheumatology Service

The site assessments took place in 2019 and 2020, and the reviews were undertaken between October and November 2021. The accreditation panel met on 8 December to decide on the final outcomes of the pilot assessments. Following this pilot, the programme will now undergo review and will be relaunched in due course.
