Launched in 2018, the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) rheumatology workstream is now well underway. With a fantastic 100% response rate to the rheumatology questionnaire, the team is pleased to be piloting the GIRFT rheumatology data packs this spring.

The packs bring together multiple sources of national data, allowing teams to identify areas of variation, pinpoint areas for improvement and share the good practice that rheumatology colleagues provide to their patients. Once finalised, the GIRFT rheumatology team will be taking the data packs on the road in the summer, visiting all trusts providing rheumatology services.

Clinical leads Dr Lesley Kay, Dr Peter Lanyon and Prof Alex MacGregor, along with their project manager Rachel Davies, will be happy to answer any questions you have relating to GIRFT and its wider impact on the NHS at conference in a few weeks' time.

For more information, please email Rachel or take a look at the GIRFT website.
