15 May 2019

We held our 35th AGM at the annual conference in May. We had the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the society, and explain the plans for the coming year to further support our members across the whole multidisciplinary team.

For those that were not able to attend the AGM, you can access the draft minutes of the meeting and the newly published Trustee’s Annual Report and Accounts.

Work is underway to set BSR's strategy for 2020 and beyond. If you would like to have a say on what you think our focus should be on for the coming years, please complete this survey.

2019 Elections

At the AGM, we saw trustees and committee members step down from their respective positions as their term of office came to an end. We are grateful to all those that give their time so freely to help deliver the work of the society.

We'll soon launch 2019's elections round. We rely on our members to volunteer their time, skills and knowledge on the different committees established by the Board of Trustees. Each committee is set up to focus on different areas of work such as policy, service improvement, delivering the annual conference and our educational programme.

Further information on the 2019 vacancies will be published in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, you can have a browse at all of our existing committees. Joining a committee means you get to contribute to exciting projects that make a real difference to the speciality.

We're pleased to announce the following key dates for the 2019 elections:

  • Nominations open 1 July

  • Nominations close8 August

  • Voting opens 28 August

  • Voting closes 11 September
