Our education bursary is open to all medical trainees and health professional members, providing the opportunity to secure funding towards one of our education courses and or conferences.

These bursaries are available to members to help fund attendance at our accredited educational events.

We are awarding bursaries at the end of 2020 for all educational events over the year. Stay tuned for updates to our Education programme.

Applications are judged anonymously by a nominated panel; judges reach a consensus on the applications and award bursaries to the applicants thought to benefit most from the course/event/visit.

Applicant information

This bursary is open to all medical trainee and health professional members. Successful applicants will receive up to £300 for a course or conference of their choice.

How to apply

  • One-page application form outlining the conference/course you would like to attend, your suitability for the bursary and detailing how you would use this experience to enhance your professional knowledge

  • Two-page CV (if you submit a CV which exceeds two pages, only the first two pages will be sent to the reviewing panel)

  • Have a current trainee or health professional membership

Further information

  • As this round covers January-December 2020, you may apply for a bursary to support your funding before or after you have attended an event

  • Please ensure you book onto the event you wish to attend, as you may not hear of your success until after registration closes. You can still apply for a bursary for an event you have already attended; bursaries are a retrospective reimbursement

  • Bursary money will be reimbursed up to three weeks after a claim is received. Claims must be made within three months of the course/conference attended; any claims after this period will not be reimbursed

  • You may apply for more than one bursary, but if you're successful, you are no longer eligible to apply for further bursaries for two years post-start date of your course/event

  • If you're awarded a bursary you will be issued an expenses claim form to complete and return to us. You must provide receipts before bursary money can be issued

  • For further information, contact the events team or call (+44)207 842 0900.

If you have any questions or require further information, contact the events team or call 0207 842 0900.
