Our Best Practice Awards shine a spotlight on exemplary services and excellence across rheumatology. After two difficult years for the specialty, we’re thrilled to be celebrating pioneering services that are driving forward improvements in patient care.

Our winners showed their passion and commitment to making a difference in rheumatology.

They are:

  • Chapel Allerton Hospital, Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust: A multidisciplinary team-led approach to improving care for patients with suspected giant cell arteritis

  • Guy’s Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust: Digital health in rheumatology

  • Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals: Remote clinical management in rheumatology

Our judges were impressed by the nine shortlisted sites and would like to acknowledge their innovative approaches to new ways of working to improve the lives of patients.

By sharing best practice, we can inspire others and help influence commissioning and policy makers.

We’ll be showcasing the winning projects in a session at Annual Conference, finding out about their work and what they’ve been achieving. All the shortlisted projects will have posters at conference and be showcased online in May.

Thank you to everyone who entered and congratulations to the winning teams.
