Ultrasound for rheumatology practice

Book now for this unique training programme designed for members and delivered by experts from the British Society for Rheumatology will set the standard for ultrasound training in the UK. A total of three modules will provide comprehensive learning opportunities for all professionals working in rheumatology practice. Each module includes introductory and advanced levels. The first two modules will be delivered together over two days in Liverpool before the British Society for Rheumatology Annual Conference and involve some pre-course online learning.

Taught in small groups there will be plenty of opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the UKs leading experts in Ultrasound. Each module will include standard machine craft core knowledge and will be supported by online learning before and after the face to face course. This blended learning programme aims to support you in your lifelong learning. Look out for a third module coming later in the year called Ultrasound for regional anatomical scanning.

The first two modules are:

  • Ultrasound in inflammatory arthritis (hands and feet)
Module lead: Dr Richard Wakefield and Dr Sarang Chitale
  • An introduction to the use of ultrasound in hot swollen joints
Module lead: Dr Ismael Atchia and Dr David Wright
